Established Beginner Sewing Course - November, Tuesday Evening

For those who want to improve on their sewing skills or get back into sewing after a break. This class is suitable for established beginners. You will know how to wind a bobbin, thread a machine and sew a basic seam.

This is a festive take on my established beginners course. A Flying Bobbins Advent Calendar making kit is included in the price. All equipment, tools and materials will be provided. All you have to do is come along, have fun and learn!

Classes are held at my sewing cabin in Cheam, Surrey. Details and directions are provided with booking confirmation.

The Project:

During this 4 week course you will make a beautiful advent calendar. A choice of designs is available.

Skills Taught:

Cutting out, hems, sewing on pockets, adding a fleece layer, bound edges and mitered corners.

Dates: Tuesday 5th November - Tuesday 26th November

Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm (2 hours)

Level: Established Beginner - You will know how to use a sewing machine and sew a basic seam.

• 8 hours of sewing tuition divided across 4, 2-hour lessons.

Minimum Class Size:

The minimum class size for this course is 4 participants. Should this number not be reached, the class will not be able to run. Flying Bobbins will strive to find a solution, however, in some cases, classes may have to be cancelled due to low numbers. You will be kept informed at all times and a full refund will be given for any cancelled courses.

Cancellation Policy & Absence:

Full payment for the class shall be taken at point of booking to secure your place.

Should you wish to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 3 weeks in advance will be charged at 50%.

If you can't make one of the classes, every effort will be made to accommodate you on another class, however this cannot be guaranteed. No refund will be given for missed classes.

In the unlikely event that the class cannot go ahead due to teacher absence, alternative arrangements will be made and a range of dates will be offered to the class. A refund for the missed class will be given where no suitable alternative can be arranged.

Covid Policy & Illness:

As we enter the cooler months, it is normal for a few bugs to be doing the rounds.  If you are unwell, please do not attend the class, this is for the sake of the other students.  A mop-up session will be provided for classed missed due to illness each term.
