Flying Bobbins Bella Quilted Tote Bag Pattern & Tutorial

The Bella Tote Bag by Flying Bobbins is a roomy tote designed for quilted, puffa and double faced fabrics. This bag features a reaccessed zip closure, front pocket with puffy bow, detachable zipped pouch and trolley sleeve. You can use this pattern to make your bag with as many or as few of the pockets and features as you wish, depending on the time you want to spend sewing and the desired result. This bag is perfect as carry on luggage for flights. You can also add a detachable cross-body strap if you wish.

Supplies Needed:

• 1.0m x Quilted or double faced fabric at 130cm - 150cm wide
  
• 9.0m x Binding
• 0.9m Continuous zip
• 2 x Zip pullers
• 2 x Magnetic snaps or other poppers
• 2.8m Webbing or strap
• Mini lobster clip
• Mini D-Ring
• Threads to match fabric and binding

Optional items for the cross body strap:

• 2m x Strap 
• 2 x D-Rings 
• 2 x Swivel clips 
• 1 x Adjuster 

FABRIC SUGGESTIONS:

This bag is designed for a double sided or quilted/puffa fabric. There is no lining. You can use pre-quilted fabrics, or quilt your own using wadding sandwiched between 2 layers of fabric. You could also use any other double faced fabric such as soft shell. This bag works best with medium weight fabrics.
