Summer Trousers Sewing Course - Tuesday Evening

Learn how to make a pair of casual Sumer trousers using the Montauk trouser pattern by Liesl & Co.  During this 5 week evening class you will learn how to make a pair of casual trousers with patch pockets and elasticated waistband. 

Classes are held at my home studio in Cheam, Surrey.  Details and directions are provided with booking confirmation. 

The Project:

The Montauk Trousers are for confident beginners and beyond.  Take your sewing to the next level with these beautifully detailed summer pants.  Your course price includes the paper pattern, which can also be adapted to make a pair of shorts.

Skills Taught:

Pockets, working with fluid fabrics, waistbands, cutting out, making a drawstring.

Dates: Tuesday 25th April - Tuesday 23rd May

Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm (2 hours)

Level: Confident Beginner - You will know how to use a sewing machine, sew a basic seam, and have some experience in garment sewing.  

Price:  £110

Class Size: 4 

Price Includes:

10 hours of sewing tuition divided across 5, 2-hour lessons.

A Montauk Trousers paper pattern.

All threads and notions needed.

Use of all machines and tools.

10% off a choice of fabrics for this project.

Minimum Class Size:

The minimum class size for this course is 4 participants.  Should this number not be reached, the class will not be able to run.  Flying Bobbins will strive to find a solution, however, in some cases, classes may have to be cancelled due to low numbers.  You will be kept informed at all times and a full refund will be given for any cancelled courses.

Cancellation Policy & Absence:

Full payment for the class shall be taken at point of booking to secure your place.

Should you wish to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible.  Cancellations made less than 3 weeks in advance will be charged at 50%.

If you can't make one of the classes, every effort will be made to accommodate you on another class, however this cannot be guaranteed.  No refund will be given for missed classes.

In the unlikely event that the class cannot go ahead due to teacher absence, alternative arrangements will be made and a range of dates will be offered to the class.  A refund for the missed class will be given where no suitable alternative can be arranged.
